My Birthday Suit
This jacket is just something else. When I saw it on Boohoo.com, I had to have it. You’ll immediately notice in these shots that the outfit theme is black and gold. Right after leather, black and gold are my second skin. I put together a fancier outfit than most of my looks on the blog because I wanted to have something that I could wear on my upcoming birthday.
The jacket is the star of the show, so I did not want to take away any attention from it and rather pair it with pieces that would solely be accessories to the look. The purse featured in this look was found at a small boutique in Sonoma Square, CA. The shoes are quite possibly my favorite heels from New Look and they’re shockingly pretty comfortable (for a pair of heels haha).
A fancier outfit is an opportunity for glammed up hair and makeup (aka my favorite). I opted for a black smokey eye with a black foil shadow with gold shimmer (I used Midnight by Colourpop) and a grey-purple lip (I used Sepia by ABH Cosmetics).
As for hair, I flat ironed it and took a small portion from the front of my hair and tied it under the remainder of my hair.
As for jewelry, I passed on necklaces and bracelets and stuck with a pair of long and dainty gold earrings.
I really hope you guys like this look. I wanted to a go a little more in depth on how I put a more fancy look together.
